We are excited to officially announce that we will be supporting the Firm Foundation as our 2018 SEF Charity of the Year!

This charity is close to our hearts for many reasons. As you all know we are very keen to support our local community and make the difference in our neighbourhoods.

Big SleepOut on Saturday 28th April 2018 - We need your support!

Chintan, Zoe, Jordan and Kate will be joining the FirmFoundation in their first ever Big SleepOut at historic Harrow School. For one night only the school will be turned into temporary cardboard city to give us a tiny glimpse into the hardship of being homeless. We will be bed down for the night in a cardboard shelter which we will create in the fields - Sleep will not be guaranteed!

We have set ourselves a target that you will hopefully support us with, we would like to raise £2,000. Your generous contributions will help in assisting those who are single and homeless by supporting Harrow’s only Winter Night Shelter, which each year assists individuals off the street and into secure accommodation. Firm Foundation runs Harrow’s Single Homelessness Advice Drop-in each week. Firm Foundation now work all through the year supporting and assisting rough sleepers in the Borough of Harrow. Winter Night Shelter runs each year during January, February and March. During its first five years the shelter has given bed spaces to over 120 men.

As SEF (Site Employee Forum) we recognise that as a local business there’s much we can offer Firm Foundation and homeless community in Harrow.

Our other planned initiatives Include:

Firm Foundation Training for volunteers - Completed in March

Charity donation boxes are currently located in Staff Shop and Canteen

SEF Support in Night Shelter and during Homelessness Advice Drop-in sessions

We will be organising an event with Firm Foundation to highlight Harrow’s homelessness
